Preparing for your photoshoot
In order to make your property look at its best when it goes on the market it’s important to make sure it is well prepared and presented when your photographer arrives. Upon arrival we will ask you to show us round and let you know if there’s any last minute things we think should be moved.
It is much easier to work alone in the property if possible, but if you’d prefer to stay we can work around you though this will mean being moved from room to room a couple of times!
It’s best to declutter and depersonalise - this means trying to clear counters and surfaces as much as possible, and remove any personal photos/items which you don’t want published online. The tips below aren’t comprehensive and not every point below is relevant to every property, but take a read through to get an idea of the standard estate agents aim for.
Kitchen: Clear countertops, hide washing up stuff, clean oven glass, hide bin if possible, etc
Lounge/Dining Room: Arrange cushions, clear clutter from surfaces, kids toys hidden, etc
Bathroom: Put down toilet seat, hide toothbrush/toothpaste, neatly display towels, try to minimise number of shampoo/body wash bottles, etc
Bedroom: Make beds, tuck away cables/chargers, put away anything that normally hangs on the back of doors, etc
Garden/Exterior: Car out the driveway, wheelie bins hidden if possible, garden furniture unfolded/set up, etc
Once we’ve arrived and had a look round with you we’ll let you know how long the appointment should take - typically around an hour depending on property size/complexity.
Final images and media will typically be delivered within 24 hours
